The grade 9 Concert Band has been invited to perform at Chapters in Shawnessy, as part of a school fundraiser for the Learning Commons, on Tuesday, November 29th. The band, and the smaller student ensembles, will perform from 6:45 pm to 7:15 pm. Please arrive, in uniform, no later than 6:30 pm. The SWS Choir will also be performing from 6:30 pm to 6:45 pm.
Please note: transportation is NOT provided for this event. Each student is responsible for arranging their own transport to and from Chapters.
20% of any purchase you make at Chapters (with a few exceptions) between 6 pm and 9 pm that night, whether it be books, cards, writing materials, treats, etc., will be donated back to SWS, which will then be used to purchase items that will enhance our students’ library experience.
As this is a scheduled concert event for the band, attendance is expected. If your student is not able to make this performance, please advise Mrs. Bolen at jcbolen@cbe.ab.ca.
Parents and guardians are invited to stay and browse the store, or enjoy a beverage at Starbucks, while the students play.
